Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists aim to support clients with promoting their health and well-being, enabling them to participate in the activities that are meaningful to them and form part of their everyday lives.

Our team of Occupational Therapists can provide:

  • Home and functional assessments.
  • Education and training on strategies to improve function in day to day life (such as energy conservation, adaptive strategies for daily tasks, falls prevention, equipment training, community access training and arthritis management).
  • Prescription of equipment to improve independence and reduce the impact of disability on daily life including simple and complex equipment.
  • Prescription of simple and complex home modifications to improve function and accessibility.

Physiotherapy

Our Physiotherapists use physical techniques to assess, diagnose, treat and work to prevent disease and disability for our clients. Our team has expertise in how the body moves and functions to provide the best outcomes for clients experiencing injury, pain, stiffness, or movement disorders. We tailor evidence-based treatments to individuals and frequently re-evaluate these treatments to ensure our care remains current and appropriate.

Our physiotherapy team can provide:

  • Individualised exercise programs to assist clients to improve their mobility and strength, and to reduce their risk of falls.
  • Pain management services including joint manipulation and mobilisation, massage and dry needling.
  • Acute Injury Management.
  • Rehabilitation approaches including post surgery and orthopaedic.
  • Airway and breathing exercises.
  • Muscle re-education to assist clients to improve their function in day to day life.
  • Assessment and prescription of mobility aids, splints and braces.
  • Education for carers and support networks on manual handling training.

Exercise Physiology

Our experienced Exercise Physiologists are equipped with the knowledge of the benefits of exercise on health, disease and function. Their skills in exercise prescription and behavioural changes can assist in making significant positive outcomes to clients experiencing injury, persistent pain, chronic disease, depression and weight management difficulties.

We run individualised and group exercise programs to assist clients to improve their mobility and strength, address health issues and reduce their risk of falls. Our passionate team of Exercise Physiologists can address issues such as (but not limited to):

  • Obesity

  • Diabetes

  • Cardiovascular Disease

  • Mental Health Conditions

  • Post-surgical Rehabilitation (ACL reconstruction, Hip / Knee Replacement)

  • Neuromuscular Exercise Therapy (Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s Disease)

  • Chronic Pain and Fatigue

  • Cancer Treatment Recovery

Dietetics

Our Dietitians specialise in understanding the impact of nutrition and diet on the health and well-being of our clients. They focus on the ways diet can impact and reduce disease, impact on mood, reduce symptoms of discomfort and improve quality of life.

Our Dietetic service includes but is not limited to:

  • Weight management

  • Gut Health

  • Food Allergies and Intolerance

  • Heart disease, Cholesterol and blood pressure management

  • Gastrointestinal disorders such as constipation, irritable bowel, coeliac disease

Speech Pathology

Our Speech Pathology team perform individualised assessments to diagnose communication disorders/delays (including, speech, language, literacy, social skills, stuttering) in both children and adults.

Our Speech Pathologists implement goal setting and treatments to improve communication skills and overall quality of life for our clients. Furthermore, our team can assess and provide treatment for swallowing difficulties.

Our Speech Pathology team can provide support for different communication and swallowing difficulties secondary to:

  • Developmental speech and language disorders

  • Learning and intellectual disabilities

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Hearing loss/difficulties

  • Pragmatic disorders

  • Dementia

  • Post-stroke difficulties

  • Swallowing difficulties with food and drink

Community Nursing

Our experienced Registered Nurses work with clients and their families towards disease prevention, promoting good health practices and managing existing health conditions.

Our staff work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team who are focused on providing support, education and holistic quality care of our clients and their support networks.

Our Registered Nursing services include:

  • Clinical assessment and monitoring

  • Complex wound care and management

  • Catheter and drain management

  • Medication management and administration

  • Program management

  • Palliative care
