Occupational Therapist | Mid North Coast
Unified Health is seeking a motivated new graduate Occupational Therapist to join our Mid North Coast clinic. You will manage a diverse caseload, focusing on client-centered therapy for children, adults, and seniors. At Unified Health we provide exceptional allied health services in the community, private practice and aged care sectors. We operate from Canberra to Byron Bay and everywhere in between with private practice clinics in Newcastle, Forster and Ballina.
About the Role
As a new graduate Occupational Therapist, you will manage a diverse caseload of clients in community and private settings, focusing on holistic, client-centered therapy for children, adults, and seniors. Your caseload will cover NDIS, homecare, and private clients, with a strong emphasis on paediatric care.
In this role, you will:
- Provide client-centered therapy to individuals of all ages in homes, community environments, and clinics.
- Develop, assess, and implement personalised therapy plans using evidence-based practices.
- Dynamic mentorship, supervision, and regular feedback tailed to clinical caseloads.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech pathologists, and support coordinators.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and evidence-based learning.
- Engage in Unified Health’s In-service training program to enhance your skills in NDIS therapy and paediatrics.
- Take advantage of administrative support tools to minimise paperwork and maximise client interaction.
- Contribute to student placements and mentorship, fostering the development of future clinicians.
About You
To be sucessful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration.
- A passion for supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, particularly children.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to tailor treatment plans to individual needs.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality care and improving clients’ well-being.
- Eagerness to learn, accept feedback, and engage in ongoing professional development.
- A valid Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Full COVID vaccination, including the booster dose.
